Julie Deily was a software engineer for ten years before making the transition to full-time blogger at The Little Kitchen as well as freelance recipe developer and food photographer. She is a Central Florida "native" having attended Winter Park High and Rollins College (native is in quotes because she was born in California). A self-professed nerd, she's a food lover but not a food snob and a firm believer that you do not have to have a huge kitchen to make amazing food.

She started her food blog in December 2009 and has had the opportunity to work with amazing brands such as, Land O'Lakes Butter, KitchenAid, McCormick spices and Florida Dairy Farmers. She believes in only working with brands that she loves to ensure it remains authentic and natural on her blog. Julie has helped organized four Food Blog Forum (food blogger conferences) events and two have been at the Walt Disney World Resort, co-organized three food blogger cookie swaps, has spoken at the three previous FLBlogCons and twice at BlogHer Food.
